API Reads "Raise the Child You've Got, Not the One You Want"

API has finished reviewing the book "Raise the Child You've Got, Not the One You Want" by Nancy Rose. This was a great book for all of our families to read that is a quick to read. We post in-depth reviews inside our online book club, API Reads on GoodReads. Nancy Rose's book is a book centered on recognizing your child for the innate characteristics they are born with and how to help make those traits shine while also at same time providing them with direction as a parent. You learn about your child's nine character traits as well as yours and you see how well they mesh together. You are provided with understanding of how you can turn those character traits into a positive outlook. Such as if you consider your child loud you can reframe it as being exuberant. I found this to be a helpful book in regards to remembering to let my daughter's inner light shine by not trying to change her but instead helping to foster the positive traits within her.
