API Reads: December update
We are finishing the book, "Kids, Parents, and Power Struggles" by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka and beginning the book "Peaceful Parent, Happy Siblings" by Dr. Laura Markham this month. If you haven't had a chance to read the blog posts for "Kids, Parents, and Power Struggles" you can find them here. It has been a great book to read on how to identify your temperament as well as your child's, learning about emotion coaching, tantrums, and reducing those power struggles. Mary Sheedy Kurcinka really connects with you throughout the book.
"Peaceful Parent, Happy Siblings" by Dr. Laura Markham is an excellent book on how to foster a better relationship with your children between you as well as their siblings. She helps you through the process of understanding how positive discipline impacts the sibling relationships. Dr. Laura Markham also helps you with emotion coaching not only between you and your child but helps you to foster emotion coaching between the siblings as well. She talks about developmental milestones and how to help your children through those various stages. There was so much valuable information that you just have to read the book to understand. Again, we'll start "Peaceful Parent, Happy Siblings" by Dr. Laura Markham this December.
